KAYAKING AROUND THE KRAKOW

THE OFFER FOR INDIVIDUAL TOURISTS AND GROUPS

Kayak tours around Krakow are the basic offer for our guests. The marina of the Railway Water Club 1929 is located on the bank of the Vistula River, at its 74th kilometer. It is a perfect place to start a water trip. Kayaking up the river, we can admire the panorama of Bielany and the Wolski Forest. Further, on the 66th kilometer, we reach the Kościuszko Lock. You can use the lock to cross this place and swim to Tyniec (64 km)

The second suggestion is a route downstream of the river. Already after swimming a few hundred meters, behind the Zwierzyniec Bridge, we can see the panorama of Wawel, and on the left side the Norbertine Monastery. The trip to Wawel (77 km) and the return upstream to the marina will take just over an hour. Sailing on, on the 81st kilometer we will reach the Dąbie Lock.

We can swim individually or in larger groups. Our marina is always the beginning and end of the route. We rent kayaks here and return them after leaving the water.

The Vistula, in the Kraków section, is a very safe river when the water level is not elevated. Kayaking upstream, although it takes a bit longer, is not difficult. Then it is worth paddling closer to the shore where the current is lower. You should also remember about the rule of right-hand traffic – on the right bank, and about the absolute obligation to give way. A canoe, as the smallest boat, is obliged to do so for all larger vessels, which, in turn, must reduce their speed when passing canoeists so as not to cause a threat related to a large wave.

We also organize rafting trips with the transport of kayaks up the river. This is an offer for groups, and details can be found here
